Who we Are


This program was developed for the busy professional by a busy professional. Dawn Mari started her professional career by following the American dream. The child of two middle school social workers, she put her nose down, graduated from Boston College, hit Wall Street, jumped to Georgetown Law and worked in finance in NYC and London.

Dawn simply GETS IT: your time constraints, your work demands, your toxic work colleagues, your issues with employee retention, your demanding investors, your screaming child, your threatening muffin top/beer belly, that fool breathing on you this morning in the over-crowded tube, your daily stresses. She understands your lifestyle.

She gets you because she once WAS you! She understands your health needs. When the market crashed in 2008 Dawn started tossing around the idea of a start-up. She scouted locations, trying out fitness routines that could go anywhere, and experimenting with nutrition after appreciating how much her metabolism changed after 35.

Since she could walk, Dawn Mari has been obsessed with movement - whether it was modern dance, yoga, hiking expeditions, gymnastics, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding (SUP). Anything to get the heart racing. Movement was always a way to balance the stress of living and working as a professional in NYC and later in London. She has closely studied the fitness, wellness and personal development industries in every city she has lived in over the past 15 years: NYC, London, Washington DC and Boston. What started as a hobby, evolved into an obsession. 

Dawn Mari is also fanatical about sustainable health. Due to an accident she underwent three intense knee operations when she was 21 and was told repeatedly by doctors she would never walk properly again. She taught herself everything she could on physiology, nerve damage, scar tissue, healing and working out. Fast forward a decade or two, not only does she walk perfectly fine today….she sprints.

Increasingly over the past several years, when someone would ask Dawn her age and she'd answer, their reply was usually 'You're.... WHAT?  No you're not.  Seriously... how old are you? (response).... No you're not!' People NEVER believed her. Then they wanted to know EXACTLY what she did to look so young, to glow. Her answer was simple, 'I do what I love and I do it as often as possible. I get up on the cliffs, I sweat, I stare at the sea, I play, I laugh....I laugh a lot....and I take my head out of my a$$' (smiling cheekily).
And eventually...people said "....I need to try that!'

And thus, the genesis of 2.97.

The Team Behind Two Point Nine Seven


The team 2.97 has put together draws from some of the best qualified personal training talent at boutique luxury gyms in Fulham and Chelsea, you know the ones - their classes have an annoying wait list but always leave you begging for more! 

She's picked up innovators with fresh takes on meditation and age-specific nutrition and consulted with pioneers in physiology and physical therapy on HIIT routines. Each team member has years of experience in his or her field. They're there to push you in a sustainable, smart way, challenge you and inspire you to be stronger and more focused than the person reading this!
